How to Beat Blix — Boss Strategy Guide | Crimson Desert
Complete guide to finding and capturing Blix in Crimson Desert. Learn where to start the bounty quest, how to locate Blix at Nas Riverside, and how to capture him alive for the full reward.
Blix is not a traditional boss fight — he is a bounty target that you need to capture alive. This goblin criminal hides near Nas Riverside in the Hernand region, surrounded by his gang. The real challenge is not killing him (he goes down fast) but subduing and capturing him for the full bounty reward. Kill him by accident and you only get half the payout.
Starting the Blix Bounty Quest
Blix's bounty becomes available through a wanted poster found on notice boards in Hernand City or on poles along the streets. These posters show up as purple icons on your minimap.
- Find the wanted poster (one common location is outside Muckroot Ranch)
- Tear down the poster
- Observe it in your inventory to officially activate the quest and receive Blix's location
If the poster is not available, you may need to progress further in other quests — it sometimes unlocks after starting the Hornsplitter quest chain.
Finding Blix
Blix and his goblin gang have a makeshift hideout in a large crevice between mountains near Nas Riverside. The quest marker guides you to the general area, but here is what to look for:
- He wanders between Unicorn Cliff and the Nas River
- He is the distinctive "naked goblin" among his group — easy to identify visually
- His gang consists of several armed goblins who will ambush you on approach
Do not use area-of-effect attacks near Blix. It is very easy to accidentally kill him with stray damage while fighting his gang. The full bounty requires Blix to be captured alive — a dead Blix pays significantly less.
How to Capture Blix Alive
Step 1: Eliminate the Gang First
Fight and defeat all of Blix's goblin companions before focusing on him. Use a bow to aggro and pull groups of guards away from Blix to avoid catching him in the crossfire.
Step 2: Isolate Blix
Once the gang is cleared, Blix may try to run. Chase him down — he is not fast.
Step 3: Sneak and Tackle
Crouch and approach Blix from behind. When you are close enough, a Grapple + Basic Attack prompt appears. Hold the button to tackle him to the ground.
Step 4: Subdue and Tie Up
While Blix is pinned, punch him a few times until the "Tie Up" prompt appears. Interact to restrain him.
Step 5: Transport and Deliver
Pick up the restrained Blix, place him on your horse, and ride back to the Constabulary in Hernand City to collect the full reward.
If Blix does not spawn at his usual location, wait 3-6 in-game hours at a nearby campfire. Some players report he appears more reliably around 10:00 AM in-game time. If you have started the Hornsplitter boss quest, you may need to complete it before Blix spawns.
Blix Not Spawning — Troubleshooting
Several things can prevent Blix from appearing:
- Other active quests in the same area may need to be completed first
- Time of day matters — try waiting or resting at a campfire
- Quest prerequisites — ensure you have properly observed the wanted poster in your inventory
Reward
Delivering Blix alive to the Constabulary earns you a full bounty payout in silver — one of the best early-game income sources. Bounty quests like this are an excellent way to fund gear upgrades before you have access to other money-making methods.
