How to Make Money Fast in Crimson Desert — Silver Farming Guide
The best ways to earn silver fast in Crimson Desert, including bank investments, gambling, bounty hunting, diamond mining, Red Croton farming, and the Hernand bank heist.
Silver is the primary currency in Crimson Desert and you never have enough of it. Between weapon Refinement, armor upgrades, consumables, and research projects, the game constantly drains your wallet. This guide covers every reliable method for earning silver — from safe farming routes to high-risk bank investments and outright robbery.
Early-Game Money Making
Red Croton Flower Fields
One of the best early-game silver sources. Large fields of Red Croton flowers grow approximately 1,000 meters southwest of Hernand. Pick every flower and sell them to any merchant for a solid return. Small insects found among the flowers can also be sold for additional copper.
Diamond Mining
The Hernand Highlands Cavern contains deposits that yield around 11 diamonds, which sell for a total of approximately 25 silver. Not a repeatable goldmine, but an excellent one-time early boost.
Mineral Farming
Mine Scolecite and Azurite deposits along the main road to Varnia. Each deposit spot yields roughly 6 silver worth of ore. Scolecite sells for 1.03 silver each, Azurite for 0.95 silver.
Bounty Hunting
Take on bounty quests from notice boards (marked with purple page icons on your minimap). Each bounty typically pays around 10 silver plus whatever loot drops from the combat encounters. Bounties are repeatable and one of the most consistent income sources.
Farm Fundamentalist Goblins in Sunrise Plains for Crude Devil Masks, which sell for 13.71 silver each. Combined with other loot drops from these encounters, goblin farming is one of the most efficient early-game silver sources hour for hour.
Combat Loot Farming
Goblin Mask Farming
Fundamentalist Goblins in Sunrise Plains drop Crude Devil Masks worth 13.71 silver each. These goblins respawn regularly and the masks stack in your inventory, making this a reliable farming loop.
General Loot Strategy
- Loot every defeated enemy — even small copper pouches add up
- Sell Masks and Coin Purses dropped by bandits
- Use a pet dog to auto-collect battlefield loot so nothing gets missed
Hunting and Livestock
Animal Products
Hunt deer, wolves, and boars in forested areas. Sell their hides and meat to vendors for steady income.
Livestock Capture
Wild animals like goats, sheep, chickens, and cows can be captured and sold:
- Livestock Black Market (southwest Hernand) — Buys stolen animals
- Horse taming — Tame wild horses and sell them to stables, or sell illegally to a Horse Fence for better prices
Bank Investment System
Banks in major settlements (including northern Hernand) offer a high-reward investment system.
How It Works
- Purchase a Personal Strongbox Permit (100 silver) — one-time cost to access investing
- Buy Gold Bars at the bank — each costs 500 silver
- Deposit Gold Bars and choose an investment strategy
Investment Tiers
| Strategy | Risk | Potential Return |
|---|---|---|
| Conservative | Low | 0-2% profit |
| Bold | Medium | 15-20% profit |
| Aggressive | High | 50-55% profit (or significant loss) |
Gold Bar Sources
- Purchase at the bank — 500 silver each
- Steal from Lioncrest Manor — Gold Bars near the fireplace
- Traveling Treasure Goblin — Rare NPC that drops Gold Bars
Aggressive investments can result in losing money, not just earning less. If you cannot afford the loss, stick to Bold investments for a reliable 15-20% return. Only go Aggressive with money you can afford to lose.
Gambling
The card minigames Duo and Five-Card offer fast but risky income. The AI opponents make predictable mistakes that experienced players can exploit, but losing streaks can wipe out your funds just as quickly. Treat gambling as entertainment rather than a primary income strategy.
The Hernand Bank Heist
For the morally flexible, the Hernand Bank itself can be robbed:
- Buy a mask and a bank key from the back-alley vendor
- Equip the mask and enter the bank
- Open the strongbox for raw silver
This incurs reputation penalties (see our stealing guide), but the one-time silver payout is significant for early game.
Trade System
Once you acquire a Trade Wagon, you can buy goods from trading posts and sell them in other areas for profit. You can also package camp resources with NPCs like Carl for trade. This becomes more profitable as you unlock more regions.
Silver Priorities — What to Spend On
- Weapon and Armor Refinement — Direct combat power increases
- Research Projects — Powerful permanent unlocks
- Bank Investment (Gold Bars) — Compound your wealth
- Food and Consumables — Never go into a boss fight under-supplied
- Inventory Expansion — More slots means more loot means more silver
