Crimson Desert Patch 1.05.00 Explained

Patch 1.05.00 brings live Boss Rematch with 69 bosses, the Re-blockade system, new legendary pets, the Lightning Bolt Plate Boots, Vault double-jump, and RTX 50 Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation.

Patch 1.05.00 is the first Crimson Desert update after 1.04.00 to ship two long-promised systems live: Boss Rematch against 69 bosses, and the Re-blockade faction-conflict system across 23 forts and quarries.

As of the official May 2, 2026 patch note, the update is live on Steam (PC), Steam (Mac), PlayStation, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store, while the Mac App Store rollout is listed as "available at a later time (in-progress)."

Quick answer

Patch 1.05.00 adds or changes all of the following:

  • live Boss Rematch against 69 bosses, with Reminisce and Resonate modes
  • the live Re-blockade system with Stable, Conflict, and War settings, covering 13 factions across 23 forts and quarries
  • new legendary pets, including the Iron Eagle and Hyacinth Macaw
  • a new creature, Mountain God Boar
  • the new boots Lightning Bolt Plate Boots, sold by Bari after meeting specific conditions
  • Crude Gold Bar pickups worth 5 Silver from old gold-pile spots
  • a new Vault follow-up that lets you Double Jump off enemies during attacks
  • a guard buff increasing damage reduction on a successful guard for all weapon types
  • Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation for GeForce RTX 50 series cards via NVIDIA Streamline SDK 2.11.1
  • Sharpness Enhancement setting for PlayStation 5 Base and Xbox Series S, X
  • improvements to save/load, the skills menu, the Abyss map, and several boss fights

Boss Rematch is live with 69 bosses and two distinct modes

The headline system change is that Boss Rematch is no longer a preview. Pearl Abyss confirms:

"you will be able to have a rematch with 69 bosses starting from this week"

Rematches use Memory Fragments, which Pearl Abyss says "become active after a boss is defeated." That means the rematch flow only opens after the original encounter is cleared in your save.

There are two rematch modes:

  • Reminisce: "Fight the boss exactly as they were when you first encountered them."
  • Resonate: "The boss's stats will scale to match the player's progression. This only applies if the player's stats are higher than the original boss's stats."

Two further rules matter:

  • "You can attempt a rematch with any character (Kliff, Oongka, Damiane)"
  • "In Rematch, any consumables used will be restored to their prior state once the battle ends, and no separate loot can be obtained."

So Boss Rematch is built for practice, training, and challenge runs — not farming.

This update supersedes the earlier Boss Rematches Explained preview written before the system went live; the live system is what you should reference now.

Re-blockade turns world conflict into a setting you control

Pearl Abyss also turns Re-blockade from a preview into a live system. The settings under the new menu are:

  • Stable: "Re-blockades will not occur."
  • Conflict (default): "Re-blockades will occur intermittently."
  • War: "Re-blockades will occur frequently."

The official scope of the system is direct: "13 different factions will carry out re-blockades across 23 forts and quarries." Pearl Abyss also says:

"Re-blockades are applied after a loading screen occurs, such as after saving and loading, or sleeping in a bed."

That means you can fully clear a fort, save and load (or sleep), and find that the same location has been re-blockaded by its parent faction. If you would rather avoid that loop entirely, set the system to Stable. If you want maximum world friction, set it to War.

This update supersedes the earlier Re-blockading Explained preview; the live system is what you should reference now.

New pets, creatures, and items add fresh world goals

Legendary pets

Pearl Abyss confirms two new legendary pets:

  • the Iron Eagle, which "appears upon meeting certain conditions"
  • the Hyacinth Macaw

Pearl Abyss does not publish exact spawn conditions for either pet in the patch note. We will update our pet guide once Pearl Abyss or community sources confirm details.

Mountain God Boar

The patch also adds a new creature:

"Added a new creature: Mountain God Boar. The Mountain God Boar appears upon meeting certain conditions."

As with the legendary pets, Pearl Abyss does not publish the exact trigger in the patch note.

Lightning Bolt Plate Boots

Pearl Abyss is more specific about the new boots:

"When wearing the Ring of Lightning after defeating the Titan, you can purchase the Lightning Bolt Plate Boots from Bari's shop."

So the unlock chain is: defeat the Titan, equip the Ring of Lightning, then visit Bari to buy the boots.

Crude Gold Bar pickups

Old gold-pile pickup spots have been changed:

"Picking them up now yields a Crude Gold Bar worth 5 Silver."

That replaces the previous behavior of those world pickups with a fixed, low-value item.

Other content

The patch also adds a new shop selling disguise items, a Pumpkin Head pickup near pumpkin patches, and Carry, Lower, and Pet interactions for goose and duck pets.

Combat changes are small but meaningful

Vault and Double Jump

Pearl Abyss adds a new follow-up to in-attack jumps:

"Pressing the Jump key once during an attack will execute a standard Vault. Pressing the Jump key again during its activation will execute a Double Jump, leaping off the enemy."

That gives you a clean disengage off an enemy at the end of a combo, without committing to a roll.

Guard buff for every weapon

Pearl Abyss says:

"Increased the damage reduction rate applied upon a successful guard for all weapon types."

The patch note does not publish a percentage. Once Pearl Abyss or testing confirms the new value, we will update the dedicated guide.

Force Current nerf

The Force Current skill has been adjusted:

"Reduced the character's travel distance when using the Force Current skill."

That is a clear nerf to the skill's mobility, with no mention of compensating buffs in the same patch.

Boss fight fixes target several existing fights

The patch lists multiple boss-fight fixes verbatim:

  • "Fixed an issue with Corrupted Caliburn displaying abnormal attack patterns occasionally during combat."
  • "Improved combo fluidity when attacking the Storm Crusher and Thunder Tank bosses."
  • "Fixed an issue where the Abyss Nexus would reset upon saving and loading after defeating Abyss Kutum."
  • "A warning message will now display if you move out of the combat area during the fight against Ludvig."
  • "Fixed an issue where certain bosses would not take damage from bows and ranged attacks while staggered."

That last one in particular matters for ranged builds, since stagger windows are now reliable damage windows again.

Save/load and UI improvements help long sessions

The patch also touches several UI flows:

  • you can now delete saves directly from the Load menu (excluding the main-menu Load)
  • the Skills menu now opens directly to the current character
  • the Abyss map teleport-path UI has been improved
  • a chapter-name display fix is included, but Pearl Abyss notes it requires manually re-saving for it to take effect

These are all small, but they reduce friction for players who reload often or swap characters frequently for rematches.

Graphics and platform changes

NVIDIA RTX 50 series

Pearl Abyss adds a new option for current-gen NVIDIA hardware:

"With the implementation of NVIDIA Streamline SDK 2.11.1, the 'Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation' option has been added under Settings > Video. (GeForce RTX 50 Series exclusive)"

So the option only shows up on GeForce RTX 50 cards, and it sits inside the existing video-settings menu.

Console sharpness

For consoles:

"[Playstation 5 Base / Xbox Series S,X] Added the 'Sharpness Enhancement' option under Settings > Video."

That gives PS5 (base) and Xbox Series S and X players a clearer sharpness control without needing display-side overrides.

Bug fix highlights

Pearl Abyss also lists a few save-affecting fixes:

  • "Fixed an issue where a comrade's Trust would reset to 10 under specific conditions."
  • "Fixed an issue where legendary mounts would die immediately upon being summoned under certain conditions."

If you were holding off on summoning a legendary mount because of the death bug, that is officially fixed.

Rollout status

Pearl Abyss publishes platform availability directly:

  • Steam (PC): available now
  • Steam (Mac): available now
  • PlayStation: available now
  • Xbox: available now
  • Epic Games Store: available now
  • Mac App Store: "Patch available at a later time (in-progress)"

So 1.05.00 is already the live reference patch for almost every player, but Mac App Store users still need to treat the rollout as incomplete.

FAQ

How many bosses can I rematch in patch 1.05.00?

69 bosses, per Pearl Abyss. Each rematch unlocks once you have defeated the boss originally.

Does Boss Rematch drop loot?

No. Pearl Abyss explicitly says "no separate loot can be obtained" from rematches, and consumables used during the fight are restored at the end.

Can I turn off Re-blockade?

Yes. Set the system to Stable and Pearl Abyss says "Re-blockades will not occur." The default setting is Conflict.

Where do I get the Lightning Bolt Plate Boots?

After defeating the Titan, equip the Ring of Lightning and visit Bari's shop. The boots are a purchase, not a drop.

Is Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation available on RTX 40 cards?

No. Pearl Abyss states it is "GeForce RTX 50 Series exclusive."

Conclusion

Patch 1.05.00 is the patch that finally moves Crimson Desert's two biggest preview systems — Boss Rematch and Re-blockade — into the live game, while adding new legendary pets, a new creature, a new boots unlock chain, sharper combat tools like Vault follow-ups and a guard buff, and modern graphics options for RTX 50 and current consoles.
