Crimson Desert Known Issues Roundup (March 31, 2026)

Crimson Desert Known Issues Roundup (March 31, 2026)

The official Crimson Desert known-issues notice was updated on March 31, 2026. Here is what is still unresolved after patches 1.01.02 and 1.01.03, plus the current official workarounds.

This is the dated known-issues refresh for March 31, 2026. It exists for a different search intent than the older generic support pages on the site: the goal here is to answer one question fast, based on the newest official notice.

Pearl Abyss' live Known Issues page shows Last updated: 2026/03/31 10:50 UTC. That makes it the current source of truth after Patch 1.01.02 and Patch 1.01.03.

Quick answer

As of the official March 31 update, the biggest active issues still include:

  • upscaling flicker, visual noise, and rough textures in some environments
  • frame drops after repeatedly changing NVIDIA Ray Reconstruction and DLSS settings
  • Golden Beer and Sage's Eye effects not applying properly
  • A Rumor Fueled by Greed becoming uncompletable if a required item was sold or lost early
  • player state changing abnormally under certain conditions
  • captured wanted criminals not being turn-in eligible if your own character is also wanted
  • some NPC Trust values resetting to their Prologue values
  • the ROG Xbox Ally X launch issue on the latest driver
  • Cloudcart not summoning
  • Observation sometimes needing to be performed twice for some knowledge
  • FSR4 rain distortion on PC

What the newest hotfixes already fixed

Two late-March patches moved a few issues off the front page:

Fixed by Patch 1.01.02

  • partial improvement to certain NVIDIA Ray Reconstruction and DLSS blur or flicker problems on Steam

Fixed by Patch 1.01.03

  • some bosses sometimes stopping during combat

Those fixes matter, but they did not clear the broader support backlog.

Officially confirmed active issues

Visual and performance issues

Pearl Abyss still lists multiple image-quality problems:

  • flickering shadow effects and character hair in certain upscaling scenarios
  • visual noise in some skill effects
  • rough-looking textures in some scenes
  • frame drops after repeatedly changing Ray Reconstruction and DLSS
  • FSR4 rainy-scene blur or distortion

If your issue is image-quality related, do not assume one single toggle or one hotfix solved everything.

Progression and system issues

The live notice still lists:

  • Golden Beer and Sage's Eye effects not applying correctly
  • A Rumor Fueled by Greed becoming blocked if you sold or lost the needed quest item first
  • some knowledge only unlocking after Observation is performed twice
  • character state changing abnormally under specific conditions

Reputation, trust, and crime-state issues

These stand out because they can affect normal town play:

  • an NPC's Trust can reset to its Prologue value in some situations
  • captured wanted criminals cannot be turned in while your own character is in a wanted state

That second one is easy to miss. If a bounty turn-in suddenly fails, make sure you are not also flagged by the crime system.

Platform-specific and device-specific issues

Pearl Abyss still lists:

  • ROG Xbox Ally X failing to launch correctly on the latest driver
  • Xbox fishing reel-in breaking if Invert Right Stick Y-Axis is enabled at the device level

For the Ally issue, Pearl Abyss specifically recommends rolling back to the previous ASUS driver version until a permanent fix lands.

Current official workaround that matters most

The strongest current official workaround is for ROG Xbox Ally X:

  • latest affected driver: V32.0.23027.4002
  • recommended temporary rollback driver: V32.0.21025.27003

Pearl Abyss says Microsoft and AMD are looking into the issue, but the current stopgap is still to use the immediately previous ASUS driver.

What moved into the solved section

The March 31 notice also shows several older problems as solved, including:

  • Steam pre-order and deluxe item claim issue
  • some PlayStation map crashes
  • the earlier Xbox ROG Ally and Xbox PC launch issue wording
  • the bank-investment wipe problem
  • the Wait feature rest-lock bug
  • Damiane and Oongka invisibility
  • the refinement-menu mouse-focus bug
  • the mounted NPC follow bug
  • the Constellation Helm control issue
  • Damiane and Oongka tempering access
  • White Bear sprint
  • mount Talisman display bug
  • Blackstar staying in place after death
  • A.T.A.G. not being destroyed at zero health
  • background blur/flicker when using upscaling and Ray Reconstruction

That solved list is exactly why a dated roundup helps: the live issue picture changed again at the end of March.

FAQ

What is the official timestamp for the current known-issues list? The official notice shows Last updated: 2026/03/31 10:50 UTC.

Is the ROG Xbox Ally X issue still active? Yes. Pearl Abyss still lists it as active and still recommends the previous ASUS driver version as a temporary workaround.

Did Patch 1.01.03 fix every boss problem? No. It fixed the issue where some bosses would stop moving. It was not presented as a broad boss-balance or encounter pass.

Are all DLSS and Ray Reconstruction issues gone now? No. Pearl Abyss still lists related visual and frame-drop issues on the March 31 notice.

What to do next

Use this page as the freshness snapshot, then move to the specific article that matches your issue: ROG Xbox Ally X status and workaround, Cloudcart not summoning status, FSR 4 rain bug status, or the broader Known Issues and Workarounds page for older support context.
