Crimson Desert Patch 1.01.01 Rollout Status: Which Platforms Have the Hotfix Today
Patch 1.01.01 was announced March 29, 2026 as an all-platforms hotfix. Here is the current rollout status per platform and how to verify you have the update.
Patch 1.01.01 was released by Pearl Abyss on March 29, 2026 as a simultaneous all-platforms hotfix. Unlike Patch 1.01.00, which had a staggered rollout across platforms, the official notice for 1.01.01 states it was intended to deploy across all supported platforms at the same time. As of March 30, 2026, the update should be available on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, the Epic Games Store, and Mac.
Whether you have actually received it depends on your platform's auto-update settings and whether you have launched the game since the patch went live. Here is how to check.
Quick answer
| Platform | Status as of March 30 |
|---|---|
| Steam | Available — check build number in game properties |
| PS5 | Available — check via system update history or title screen |
| Xbox Series X/S | Available — check via My Games & Apps > Manage |
| Epic Games Store | Available — check via library update indicator |
| Mac | Available — update via Steam or Epic depending on your storefront |
How to check if you have the update
Steam
- Open Steam and go to your Library.
- Right-click Crimson Desert and select Properties.
- Go to the Local Files tab.
- Click Browse to open the install folder, or check the Updates tab for the last installed update date.
- You can also confirm by launching the game and checking the version number displayed on the title screen or in the Options > System menu. The 1.01.01 build should display as
1.01.01or the corresponding internal build number.
Alternatively, in the Steam client, right-click the game title and select Manage > Update History to see when your last update was applied. If the most recent update is timestamped March 29 or later, you have Patch 1.01.01.
PS5
- From the PS5 home screen, highlight Crimson Desert.
- Press the Options button on the controller.
- Select Check for Update.
- If the system reports no updates are available and you are on version 1.01.01 or later, you are up to date.
- You can also see version history in Game Hub > Activity or in Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Game Version.
On PS5, patches are often downloaded automatically in rest mode if your console has automatic downloads enabled. Launch the game and check the title screen version display to confirm.
Xbox Series X/S
- Press the Xbox button and go to My Games & Apps.
- Select Manage > Updates.
- Crimson Desert will appear here if an update is pending. If it does not appear, the update has already applied.
- Alternatively, go to the game's page, press More options (three dots), and select Manage game to see the installed version.
Epic Games Store
- Open the Epic Games Launcher.
- Go to your Library.
- If an update is available for Crimson Desert, it will show a download/update prompt on the title card.
- If no prompt is visible, the latest version is installed.
Mac
Mac players access Crimson Desert through either the Steam or Epic Games Store clients on macOS. Follow the corresponding steps above based on which client you use. The Patch 1.01.01 all-platforms release includes Mac.
What to do if your platform hasn't updated
If your platform shows Crimson Desert as up to date but you are not seeing the 1.01.01 fixes in action (for example, White Bear sprint still isn't working), try these steps:
- Fully close and relaunch the game client (Steam, Epic, or your console's game manager).
- Check your network connection — a disrupted download may have left the patch partially applied.
- On Steam: right-click the game, go to Properties > Local Files, and click Verify integrity of game files. This will re-download any missing or corrupted patch files.
- On console: restart the console entirely, not just the game, to ensure the system update manager re-checks for pending patches.
- If the issue persists, check the official Crimson Desert status page or community channels to confirm whether there are any known delivery delays for your platform.
What this hotfix does
Patch 1.01.01 fixes four specific bugs introduced or exposed by Patch 1.01.00:
- Mount Talisman display incorrectly showing as available for Damiane/Oongka
White Bearsprint being unavailable- A bug in the Tempering Target UI selection interface
- Horse movement becoming abnormal during mounted NPC follow missions

FAQ
Can I play online if I haven't updated? Typically, patch updates are required for online multiplayer sessions. If your client is out of date, you may be prompted to update before joining online content. Single-player content may function on the prior build, but updating is strongly recommended.
Why is my Steam showing a different build number than 1.01.01? Steam build numbers for the internal version can differ from the in-game display version. Use the in-game title screen or Options > System version display as the authoritative source.
Is the Patch 1.01.01 download size large? The official patch notice does not specify a download size, but hotfixes of this scope (four targeted bug fixes) are typically small — usually well under 1 GB. Your platform's update download will reflect the actual size.
Will there be a Patch 1.01.02 soon? Pearl Abyss has not announced a timeline for subsequent patches as of March 30, 2026.
