How to Beat Storm Crusher in Crimson Desert
Boss strategy for Storm Crusher at the Aeronautical Research Base, covering rocket reflects, exposed weak points, and safe damage windows.
Storm Crusher is the second fortress tank in the Delesyia gauntlet and it rewards the same kind of discipline as Thunder Tank. The notable difference is that Storm Crusher eventually exposes a weak point, but the public safe strategy still favors reflected projectiles over risky climbing attempts.
Location
Storm Crusher appears at the Aeronautical Research Base in Delesyia during Fortress Keys. As with the other fortress fights, you must also finish the enemy-clear requirement before the fortress counts as liberated.
Mechanics
- Storm Crusher is a fire-themed tank that bombards the arena with rockets and explosive shots.
- After enough damage, the upper armor falls away and exposes a weak point.
- Climbing onto the tank is possible in theory, but published guide notes flag that approach as unreliable and buggy.
- Nature's Snare gives you a clean ranged punish by turning the rocket pattern into free damage.
Phases
Armor-On Phase
Play from range and keep reflecting rockets until the armor breaks. This is the safest section of the fight and the best time to keep your healing inventory intact.
Exposed-Core Phase
Once the upper section falls away, the boss becomes easier to burst. Keep the same reflected-projectile plan, then cash in the extra damage when the weak point is visible instead of gambling on a mount/climb sequence.
Recommended Gear
- Nature's Snare / Nature's Retribution remains the safest offensive tool.
- Bring a durable ranged setup or enough healing to survive chip mistakes while the arena fills with explosions.
- Save stamina for dodge rolls, because panic movement is the main way to lose control here.
Loot
- Abyss Artifact x1
Summary
Storm Crusher only looks more complex than Thunder Tank. In practice, you can solve the fight the same way: fight at range, reflect rockets, and take the free damage once the upper armor falls off. Stick to the safe loop and the weak point will finish the rest.
