How to Beat Dreadnought in Crimson Desert
Boss guide for Dreadnought at Marni's Laboratorium, with eye-laser avoidance, melee punish windows, and fortress key notes.
Dreadnought is the cleanest of the Delesyia fortress bosses once you understand what actually matters. Most of its melee strings are readable, but the eye laser is the move that decides the fight. If you keep circling and refuse to stand still in front of the chassis, the encounter becomes a steady rhythm fight.
Location
Dreadnought is found in Marni's Laboratorium in Delesyia during the main quest Fortress Keys. Defeating it is required to secure the third fortress key.
Mechanics
- Dreadnought is a larger, tankier version of the tall automatons seen throughout Delesyia.
- The yellow eye laser is the true threat and can erase most of your health if you tank it.
- Standard melee swings are much easier to read and punish than the beam attack.
- Constant lateral movement makes the laser far less dangerous and keeps you positioned for back-side punishes.
Phases
Single Phase
There is no meaningful phase split here. The boss stays on the same plan for the whole fight, so the winning pattern is simple: circle, dodge the eye laser, then step in for your combo during recovery.
Recommended Gear
- Bring enough defense and healing to survive a mistake against the eye laser.
- Fast melee weapons work well because your best openings are short and repeatable.
- Anything that helps mobility or stamina recovery is more useful than greedy burst.
Loot
- Abyss Artifact x1
Summary
Dreadnought is mostly a knowledge check. Respect the eye laser, circle instead of backpedaling, and punish the recovery after every big whiff. Once you stop treating it like a brawl, the boss becomes much more stable.
