Can You Upgrade from Standard to Deluxe in Crimson Desert?
Crimson Desert does not have a dedicated edition-upgrade button, but a separate Deluxe Pack now exists after launch. Here is what you can buy separately and what you cannot.
The short answer is not through a one-click upgrade.
Pearl Abyss says there is no dedicated upgrade option, but it also says the separate Deluxe Pack is sold after launch to players who already own the full game. Steam's live store page now also shows that standalone Deluxe Pack DLC.
So the real answer is: no formal Standard -> Deluxe conversion flow, but yes to the Deluxe in-game items through a separate pack.
Quick answer
Pearl Abyss says:
Standard -> Deluxeis not a built-in upgrade path- the
Deluxe Packcan be purchased separately after launch by players who already own the full game - the
Collector's Edition Ultimate Packis not available as a separate purchase
What the Deluxe Pack includes
According to Pearl Abyss' game-editions notice, the separate Deluxe Pack includes:
Balgran ShieldKairos Plate SetExclaire Horse Tack Set
The core point is simple: these are the Deluxe in-game items, not a full edition reclassification.
What the current separate-purchase path actually means
This is where people get tripped up.
If you own Standard Edition, the current path is:
- keep your base game
- buy the separate
Deluxe Pack - receive the in-game Deluxe items
That is different from a storefront-native edition conversion where your library entry itself changes from Standard to Deluxe.
What you do not get through this route
Buying the separate Deluxe Pack is not the same as converting your copy into a full physical Deluxe Edition. It does not create:
- SteelBook extras
- photo cards
- maps or letter items from the physical package
- Collector's Edition-exclusive physical goods
- the
Ultimate Pack
So if your real goal is the physical merch side, the post-launch Deluxe Pack does not solve that.
What about Collector's Edition upgrades?
Pearl Abyss is explicit here too:
- the
Ultimate Packfrom the Collector's Edition is not sold separately
That means the Deluxe items are the only clear post-launch edition-bonus route Pearl Abyss officially supports in a separate purchase format.
Why this matters for bonus-item support questions
If you buy the Deluxe Pack and the bonuses do not appear immediately, the claim path is still the same one Pearl Abyss describes for other add-ons:
MenuOtherOptionsAdd-ons- receive the item from the receivable list
That is why this article belongs next to the site's bonus-items guide rather than replacing it.
What is officially confirmed today
There are two separate confirmation layers now:
- Pearl Abyss' FAQ and editions notice say the separate
Deluxe Packexists after launch and requires ownership of the full game - Steam has a live standalone
Crimson Desert - Deluxe Packstore page marked as DLC requiring the base game
That gives this article a stronger buyer-intent answer than it had pre-launch.
FAQ

Can I still get the Deluxe cosmetics if I bought Standard?

Can I upgrade into the Collector's Edition Ultimate Pack later?
No. Pearl Abyss says the Ultimate Pack is not available for separate purchase.
Does the separate Deluxe Pack include physical Deluxe items? No. It covers the in-game Deluxe Pack items, not the physical package extras.
