Azure Moon Labyrinth Complete Guide — Puzzle Solutions | Crimson Desert

Full walkthrough for the Azure Moon Labyrinth in Crimson Desert, including the hidden entrance location in The Witchwoods, the five-button puzzle solution, and Abyss Artifact rewards.

The Azure Moon Labyrinth is a hidden puzzle dungeon tucked away in The Witchwoods, east of Hernand, near Phoniel Ranch. Its main entrance is visible but locked — the actual way in is through a concealed ladder in a nearby wooden shack. Inside lies a five-button puzzle guarding an Abyss Artifact and the valuable Memory of Tide.

Location

The Azure Moon Labyrinth is located in The Witchwoods, east of Hernand, within the Phoniel Ranch area. You will see a large question mark on your map marking the cave entrance. However, the visible main door cannot be opened directly.

How to Enter

The entrance you see is a decoy. The real way in is:

  1. Head slightly northeast from the main cave entrance
  2. Look for a small, unnamed ranch with a wooden shack
  3. Inside the shack, find a ladder leading downward — this drops you into the labyrinth

Navigating the Obstacle Course

Once inside, you will face an obstacle course filled with fire traps and falling rocks before reaching the puzzle chamber. There are several ways to navigate this section:

  • Climb, jump, and glide through the obstacles
  • Use Force Palm to reach a lever
  • Activate the lever to open the door to the main puzzle chamber
TIP

The obstacle course can be frustrating on your first attempt. If you have the Aerial Swing or gliding ability unlocked, the traversal section becomes much easier. Take your time with the fire traps — they have a predictable timing pattern.

The Five-Button Puzzle Solution

The puzzle room contains eight symbol buttons on the walls. You need to press exactly five correct symbols. Press a wrong one and the puzzle resets after five presses. The good news: buttons can be pressed in any order.

In-Game Clues

The intended solution involves examining a mural inside the labyrinth and then finding matching symbols on trees in Pororin Village. If you want to skip the scavenger hunt, use the direct solutions below.

The Five Correct Symbols

Left wall (from left to right):

  • Press the second symbol — looks like a regular letter F
  • Press the third symbol — looks like a letter E with a long tail (E with a vertical bar)

Right wall (from left to right):

  • Press the first symbol — a letter P with three horizontal lines (near the gate)
  • Press the third symbol — a letter P with one horizontal line
  • Press the fourth symbol — a regular letter P

Once all five correct symbols are pressed, the gate protecting the treasure vault automatically unlocks.

WARNING

If you press an incorrect symbol, use all five presses quickly so the puzzle resets — then start over with the correct five. There is no penalty for incorrect guesses beyond having to redo the sequence.

Rewards

Beyond the unlocked gate you will find:

  • Abyss Artifact — Skill point for character progression
  • Memory of Tide — Reveals hidden locations across Hernand's southern reaches and coastal areas

The Memory of Tide is particularly valuable for completionists, as coastal hidden locations are easy to miss during normal exploration.
